Harvested in the clear mountain air of the beautiful Cedarberg Mountains, we use only carefully selected fresh, hand harvested Rooibos tea.

To make sure the leaves stay green, the tea has to be carefully handled; bruising will cause faster oxidisation, which occurs naturally after harvesting. Heat is then skilfully applied to keep the leaves green and cut oxidisation.

To make traditional Rooibos however, oxidisation is encouraged, which turns the leaves a dark, rich red colour.

Did you know that once a year the Rooibos plant blooms with tiny yellow flowers? At this time the usually rugged barren landscape transforms into a spectacular firework display of flowers.
